I’ve spent a lot of time on Smith Mountain Lake, and fishing has always been something I take seriously. Striper fishing especially has become a huge passion of mine. There’s just something about finding the fish, getting everything set up right, and watching a rod get buried that never gets old.
That’s a big reason I started Hardline Guide Service. I wanted to give people the kind of fishing trip I’d want to go on myself.
When you book with me, I’m going to work hard to put you on fish. Some days they make it easy and some days they definitely don’t. I’m not going to promise you a limit or guarantee a giant fish, because anyone who fishes knows it doesn’t work that way. What I can promise is that I’m going to put in the effort and do everything I can to give you a great day on the water.
You also don’t have to be an experienced fisherman. I’m happy taking out someone chasing their biggest striper just as much as I am taking out a family whose kids have barely held a fishing rod before. I’ll provide the equipment, help you through everything, and make sure everybody on the boat gets involved.
WHY HARDLINE?
I wanted Hardline to be more than just getting on a boat and going fishing for a few hours.
I’ve put a lot into having the right boat, electronics, tackle, live bait setup, and equipment for the way we fish Smith Mountain Lake. I want you to step on the boat and feel like you booked a serious fishing trip.
At the same time, we’re here to have fun. Bring your friends. Bring your family. Bring the kids. If you’ve never caught a striper before, even better.
Hopefully by the end of the trip, you understand why I love fishing this lake so much.
